Megyn Kelly Confirms Comeback to TV After NBC Exit for Defending Blackface

Megyn Kelly’s fate at NBC was sealed when she pondered why “blackface” is frowned upon during a live panel discussion last year

Megyn Kelly and NBC have reached an exit agreement, almost three months after the television host made controversial comments about blackface on television.

Exit discussions have been ongoing since October 25th, with her Today hour being cancelled the following day.

Terms were not disclosed.

NBC delivered the news of Kelly's exit with one sentence late Friday.

"The parties have resolved their differences, and Megyn Kelly is no longer an employee of NBC", a network spokesperson told THR.

The Rock laments 'snowflake' culture in interview
Kindly check out my last response I just posted re the false interview". "I was quite baffled when I woke up this morning". The Rock went on to say that he thinks the world has progressed, but "generation snowflake" is taking things backwards.

NBC News reported Kelly will leave the network with the remainder of her three-year, $69 million deal - about $30 million. Even before the controversial commentary, her future was considered limited at NBC News.

Prior to her tenure at NBC, she spent over a decade in various roles at Fox News. "I want to look at everything", she said.

She made news at NBC when interviewing women who accused Trump of inappropriate behaviour and s poke with accusers of Harvey Weinstein, Bill O'Reilly, Roy Moore and others, as well as women who say they were harassed on Capitol Hill. This means the news anchor is able to begin working immediately.

Both Kelly's morning show and Sunday evening news program struggled to find viewers.

"But what is racist?" she wondered aloud. "Truly, you do get in trouble if you are a white person who puts on blackface on Halloween or a black person who puts on whiteface for Halloween". Kelly said it was OK when she was "a kid" (she was born in 1970) to don blackface - "so long as you were dressing up as a character". Her daily morning show, "Megyn Kelly Today", suffered low ratings, and her assertive style at times seemed out of place in the anodyne environment of morning television. But she didn't sign a non-compete agreement, according to People, which would have barred her from working for a competing network.
