Nokia 8.1 Plus renders show a punch-hole screen

Nokia 8.1 Plus with hole-in-display design and dual-camera setup leaks

Renders of an upcoming Nokia smartphone have surfaced online showing off an in-display circular camera cutout, dual rear-facing cameras and a fingerprint scanner on its back. As per the report, the phone could be called the Nokia 8.1 Plus, but nothing is certain at the moment. There's also, thankfully, a 3.5 mm headphone jack on the top edge.

Pre-installed with Android 9 Pie, consumers can expect to have straight forward, pure Android experience as well as security guarantee by Google due to the fact that the Nokia 8.1 is an Android One device. So, the fingerprint sensor will not be in-display. The hole punch seems like an improvement, but it's hard to tell since devices haven't launched yet.

Per the images, the Nokia 8.1 Plus will have a rear glass panel bearing the Nokia logo and the Android One branding.

Vegas police want Ronaldo's DNA for alleged rape in 2009
The model's lawyer Jonathan Coad of Keystone Law said: 'I am advising her on a possible harassment claim against Mr Ronaldo'. Once there, say the court papers, he urged her into his hot tub, but she refused because she did not want to spoil her dress.

If these renders of the alleged Nokia 8.1 Plus end up being accurate, HMD Global (along with many other smartphone OEMs) are going to be using this same technique for their phone.

Based on 91mobiles and @OnLeaks collab, the Nokia 8.1 Plus has a 6.22-inch possibly Full HD+ screen with super thin side bezels and a sizable punch-hole in the upper left corner. Why then, does the Nokia 8.1 Plus have a better front design?

Both of these devices are just rumors so far, and as always, the price will be a big determining factor in how well both phones are received. We will likely see this trend continue for another year or two, but most companies will be moving onto a different method of reducing the forehead bezel of smartphones.
