Ohio State QB Martell signals he may transfer | AP sports

Tate Martell in the transfer portal What’s next for Ohio State at quarterback

Ohio State freshman quarterback Tate Martell is now in the NCAA transfer portal and will explore options outside of the Buckeyes, reports Letterman Row's Jeremy Birmingham.

The Ohio State Twitter fan account Eleven Warriors posted an image of Martell's name entered in the portal as confirmation.

He had this to say before the Rose Bowl regarding a potential Fields transfer. Martell said, according to The Toledo Blade's Dave Briggs.

"I am just going to tell you - if anyone comes in, it's going to". "[Day] has an NFL-type offense that's hard to learn".

"Words of advice - don't swing and miss ... especially not your second time", Martell tweeted at the time.

Canada to welcome 1m new immigrants in next 3 yrs
The decision has reportedly been taken to offset Canada's aging population and declining birth rate while growing its labor force. The average new arrival is relatively young, and many will be welcomed under job schemes, bolstering the country's work force.

As an undergraduate, Martell would have to sit out next season if he transfers to another school without receiving a waiver from Ohio State.

The dual-threat quarterback now joins a crowded quarterback transfer market which will also include Alabama's Jalen Hurts.

Players who put their names in the transfer database are at risk of losing their financial aid from their current schools. As the backup quarterback, Martell was 23-of-28 passing for 269 yards and scored three total touchdowns in 2018. He enrolled in classes and will reportedly ask the NCAA for eligibility to play in the upcoming season.

The outspoken quarterback seemingly made all the moves to be a starting quarterback for an elite program at Ohio State.
