Powerball jackpots to equal record $100m after delayed $80m goes unclaimed

Lotto officials have let Australians angling for a piece of tonight's enormous $80 million Powerball jackpot in on the numbers that are most likely to be drawn.

"Under regulations, every single entry has to be validated in the system before the draw can take place".

The Lott spokesperson Matt Hart said next Thursday's draw has the potential to set a new record of its own.

To win the $50,000, the player had to match four white balls numbers and the red Powerball number, the odds of which are 1 in 913,129, according to the statement.

The jackpot comes after Thursday's draw was delayed by technical issues as a result of the large volume of entrants.

In good news for Powerball punters, the game has now jackpotted for the eighth consecutive week and is the equal largest prize in the game's 23-year history, Seven News reports.

The latest Powerball lottery jackpot offers another big payout for someone with a ticket and a whole lot of luck.

CDC: Fatal drug overdoses soaring among middle-aged women
Over the next 18 years, the rate of fatal overdoses rose for American women in all the age brackets between 30 and 64. Also, changes over time in testing or reporting of certain drugs could have influenced the data.

A total of 2,467,864 did win some money last night, with a lucky fifteen taking home $81,533.30 each.

The numbers were expected to be available online by 9pm last night and be televised about 9.30pm on Channel 7.

A $2 ticket gives you a one in 292.2 million chance at joining the hall of Powerball champions.

Of these entries, nearly two-thirds were quick-pick entries, and nearly one in four of the winning entries were PowerHIT entries.

A lucky player matched four white balls and the Powerball - 07-24-33-49-50 PB: 4 - on January 10, 2018 to win $50,000.

10, 11 and 12 are among other cold numbers.
