The Rock went on to say that he thinks the world has progressed, but "generation snowflake" is taking things backwards.

Wrestler turned worldwide movie star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson body-slammed a British tabloid on Friday for posting what he called a "fabricated" interview featuring him bashing "snowflakes".

"If you are not agreeing with them, then they are offended - and that is not what so many great men and women fought for", the actor and former wrestler said.

"We thankfully now live in a world that has progressed over the last 30 or 40 years", he explained.

But beyond his sarcastic comment, Johnson reminded his fans that he always encourages people to be who they want to be and have empathy.

In fact, he mocked the need to put such labels on entire groups of people by saying that he made up the tequila generation, and it's one that you'll definitely 'want to join!'
