Alia Bhatt reacts to Kangana Ranaut calling her "Karan Johar’s puppet"

Manikarnika Box office report Kangana Ranaut starrer continues steady run

I don't want to talk about it in the media. Basically, it wasn't my intention.

The Manikarnika actress sparked the controversy, which started between her and director Krish, even further, when she called out Aamir Khan and Alia Bhatt for not standing up for her film.

When asked to react to the same, Alia Bhatt said she would personally apologise to Kangana.

"I haven't seen the film yet but my friends in the USA recommended me to watch it asap so perhaps I will soon. They think they are Gods and its blasphemy to acknowledge that you shouldered a multi-million dollar film on your own. With Manikarnika's success you have hit them on their softest spot and it will take them some time to recover. They will come around eventually.they have to or else they run the risk of being irrelevant". This is a very odd sort of a racket.

"What Bollywood is doing, the planning and plotting, one thing is for sure, earlier I used to call them out for sexism, nepotism or pay disparity, but now I'll be after them". She replied, "How will it benefit me?" I don't think I have done anything intentionally to upset her.

Southampton boss Hasenhuttl impressed with Ward-Prowse change
Southampton has lost striker Danny Ings to a hamstring injury, with the forward expected to miss three weeks of action. Southampton are unbeaten in the league since December but remain threatened by relegation, now sitting in 16th place.

However, this did not go down well with the Queen star, who reportedly told the budding actor to "grow a spine".

However, Kangana, upon learning Alia's reaction, came down heavily on her and asked Alia to grow a spine and support a film about women empowerment and nationalism. "I told her if she is only focusing on earning bucks and not raise a voice, then her success has no value".

She alleged that she always encouraged good movies and the craftsmanship shown by the actors, but, this cold response from the industry on her periodic movie shook her.

Kangana's Manikarnika is based on the warrior queen of the kingdom of Jhansi, Lakshmibai, who defied the East India Company forces during 1857's rebellion and fought until her last breath.
