People within Buhari’s presidency working for Atiku – PDP

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has said the Igbos will lose if they fail to vote for President Muhammadu Buhari in the February 16 presidential election.

The party denied the alleged denial as "part of the last kicks of a dying horse, which the Buhari Presidency now represents".

"If there is any truth to what the PDP has said, it is not APC and it is not our policy", the ruling party said.

"We must hold our mega rally in Abuja".

He asked the people of the state not to vote for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), alleging that its presidential candidate has promised to enrich his friends at the expense of his masses.

"The PDP, out of respect for the Office of the President of Federal Republic of Nigeria, had severally refrained from calling out President Buhari on his various indictments for corruption even during his era as a military ruler".

Buhari and the APC to drag the PDP and the people's candidate to their low level of frustration in order to enmesh the coming election into crisis so as to achieve their self-succession bid. In Buhari, we have a man who has integrity, who cares for masses and who has your interest at heart.

"Is it not odd therefore that President Buhari who wants Nigerians to perceive his administration as fighting corruption, will cast a net into the ocean and bring out only corrupt people to run his campaign?"

"When you add these factors to the number of Nigerians that have abandoned the ship of APC, including those who will work for the people's candidate, Atiku Abubakar, from within the Buhari Presidency and inside the APC, you will agree with me that we are coasting to victory and we shall get Nigeria working again".

President Muhammadu Buhari, on Saturday, maintained that the duty of his administration was to imprison those who had looted the nation's treasury.

Buhari said, "I assure you that the promises we made in 2015, based on which you elected us, we've made tremendous progress and I have mentioned through others what the administration is doing on security, economy and fighting corruption".
