Microsoft teases HoloLens 2 arrival ahead of MWC 2019

Microsoft teases second-gen Holo Lens headset ahead of MWC

Microsoft started talking about HoloLens 2 back in July 2017, now it looks ready to unveil the finished product and show us what second-generation mixed reality makes possible.

Microsoft's technical fellow and HoloLens creator Alex Kipman released a very short video teaser for the upcoming headset on his YouTube channel.

The original Microsoft HoloLens launched in 2016, purely as an enterprise-focused device retailing for $3,000 Dollars.

Microsoft is nearly certain to announce the long-awaited HoloLens V2 at Mobile World Congress 2019 on the 24th February, and the big question on everyone's mind will be how they solved the Field of View issue which has dogged the handset's reputation since its 2016 launch. Is carbon fiber in the cards?

Bezos probe concludes mistress' brother was Enquirer source
Minutes later, however, the attorney said he could confirm that "it's not Saudi Arabia, it's not President Trump (and) it's not Roger Stone".

The video includes the date February 24, which is a day before Mobile World Congress 2019 kicks off in Barcelona.

The field of view of the HoloLens V1 is often described as looking at the virtual world through a letterbox slot, and Microsoft is expected to improve this dramatically in version 2.

But HoloLens remains the most recognisable branding in the AR field, and could yet prove a consumer hit if the right sorts of revisions to design, pricing and software support are made with a true successor.

Whatever Microsoft has planned, Wareable will be on hand at MWC 2019 to report on all the details - stay tuned.
