NASA seeks industry help for human lunar landers

NASA to send humans to the moon once again – ‘but this time we’ll stay’

Bridenstine had previously called for "the best and brightest of American industry to help design and develop human lunar landers" in response to what he says is a clear mandate from Donald Trump and Congress to once again get astronauts out of Earth's orbit.

Next week partners from private industry are being invited to NASA's headquarters to discuss lunar landers. "But to some, saying we're returning to the moon implies we'll be doing the same as we did 50 years ago".

"If you are in a part of the Moon where it is getting dark, you will notice that a lunar night has a duration of 14 terrestrial days, meaning that that part of the Moon would be kept in darkness for two weeks", as said the scientist at the Caribbean Astronomy Society, the last time when hang'e-4 had to shut down during its first lunar night.

"I want to be clear - that is not our vision".

In a new blog post, NASA welcomes companies to participate in its search for reusable systems that will reliably deliver astronauts to the lunar surface and get them home safely.

U.S. not covering up Khashoggi murder, Pompeo says
USA intelligence agencies have concluded that the crown prince at least had knowledge of the plot. A bipartisan group of lawmakers, including Democratic Sen.

"That starts with the Gateway - a lunar orbiting outpost created to ensure the safe transit of astronauts to the lunar surface and back home again". The construction of the first Russian lunar base is set to begin in 2034 and continue in 2035.

Bridenstine went on to say NASA is eager to get started "as quickly as possible" and have already committed to working with nine United States companies to start sending new science instruments to the moon's surface on commercial cargo deliveries.

When NASA again sends humans to the Moon, the surface will be buzzing with new research and robotic activity, and there will be more opportunities for discovery than ever before.

Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin became the first people to set foot on the moon in 1969. "But unlike Apollo, this time we're going to the moon to stay, and from there we'll take the next giant leap in deep space exploration", added Bridenstine.
