Addressing a press conference along with Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry and Prime Minister s Advisor on Commerce Abdul Razak Dawood in Islamabad on Wednesday, he said that Saudi Arabia is our close and trustworthy friend and the relations with the visit of Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman will be improved further.
Speaking at the presser, Dawood said that $7 billion investment would be made in Pakistan from Saudi Arabia over the next two years.
Pakistan's Foreign Ministry said the prince would meet with Prime Minister Imran Khan during the two-day visit, which begins Saturday.
The Saudi prince is coming to sign deals worth billions of dollars including an oil refinery project in Gwadar.
During his visit, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia will be signing a number of agreements and MoUs in diverse sectors, including investment, finance, power, renewable energy, internal security, media, culture and sports, it said.
Qureshi said when they took over the reins of the country, Pak-Saudi relations were strained.
