Skybound bringing classic BioWare to consoles

Neverwinter Nights

While most of these games were originally built around mouse and keyboard controls, modern games like Divinity: Original Sin and Pillars of Eternity that were heavily inspired by them have managed to adapt to traditional console controllers in recent years. With Baldur's Gate, Baldur's Gate II, Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonsphere, Icewind Dale, Planetscape: Torment and Neverwinter Nights already under their belt on PC, these new console ports should be in good hands. All of them, dubbed "Enhanced Editions", will be available at retail or through the PlayStation Store, according to the press release. A selection of the titles will be playable at the Skybound Games booth at PAX East in Boston which will be running from March 28-31, 2019.

'These games are iconic, including Baldur's Gate, which has really set the standard for Dungeons & Dragons computer roleplaying games, ' commented Ian Howe, CEO of Skybound Game. Skybound Games was selected as the team to finish The Walking Dead after Telltale Games shuttered their doors.

Beamdog previously spruced up Baldur's Gate for the PC back in 2012, where it was known as Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition. Icewind Dale and Planescape: Torment. will arrive on a new platform this year.
