'Avengers: Endgame' Co-director Joe Russo to Visit India in April

Joe along with his brother, Anthony, apart from Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: End Game, have also directed Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. According to Variety, he's in talks to star in a big screen adaptation of Nico Walker's bank-robbing novel Cherry. Next month's Avengers: Endgame concludes the duo's extensive collaborating with Marvel and the Mouse House, so it was only a matter of time until the Russo brothers started looking at the path which lay before them.

Tom Holland is now in talks to star in Joe and Anthony Russo's forthcoming film adaptation of the novel Cherry by Nico Walker, as Variety reports. Its Co-Director Is Coming Mumbai To Hear It All!

The film will be based on Walker's true-life accounts of his life as a former Army medic dealing with PTSD, opioid addiction and a prison conviction. Though the narrator and protagonist of the story are unnamed, the events are heavily based on Walker's own experiences; he's now behind bars and has been since 2013, but is scheduled to be released in 2020, just in time to see Tom Holland play the part on the big screen.

Cherry does not have any release dates as of yet, with the Russo brothers unsurprisingly very involved with promotional work for the upcoming Avengers film.
