It's a boy! April the Giraffe gives birth again

Giraffe

Fans were once again able to follow April's progress throughout her pregnancy on social media, and 301,550 tuned in to watch the birth live on YouTube.

April the giraffe gave birth again on Saturday, in front of another enthralled YouTube audience. "Calf was on it's feet around 1:27 pm [.] Nursing was observed 1:51 pm".

Animal Adventure Park in Harpursville, NY, announced Saturday that her tail was up and those watching the livestream could see the baby start to emerge.

April has taken time to clean her child and herself in the minutes following the birth. "Upon Jordan's entry to the barn, April stood up and revealed that she had in fact been in labor and the calf's hooves and first 8-10" of leg were emerging!"

While April's new calf didn't quite rise to the level of cultural phenomenon that her baby calf did in 2017, the arrival of a newborn tall horse is happy news for both Animal Adventure Park and for giraffe-lovers everywhere.
