Mueller Probe Report Should Be Made Public

Behind Donald Trump's plan to beat the Robert Mueller report — with the aid of Fox News

MSNBC's Katy Tur dismissed the weight placed on President Donald Trump's potential collusion with Russian Federation, saying it doesn't matter whether or not he was guilty of such coordination: Special Counsel Robert Mueller has "already come up with quite a bit" of incriminating information on him. "Let people see it - that's up to the attorney general".

Mueller is expected to present a report to the Justice Department any day now outlining the findings of his almost two-year investigation into Russian election meddling, possible collusion with Trump campaign officials and possible obstruction of justice by Trump.

The President spoke rapidly, offering new talking points in his anti-Mueller meltdown.

Trump taunted the special counsel, suggesting he is "look [ing] forward" to seeing what Mueller came up with, while also dismissively describing it as an illegitimate effort to undermine his presidency by unelected bureaucrats.

Mueller is preparing to submit a report to U.S. Attorney General William Barr on his findings, including Russia's role in the election and whether Trump unlawfully sought to obstruct the probe. "Tremendous success. Tens of millions of voters and now someone will write a report who never got a vote", the president said in one of his strongest rebukes yet of the special counsel, who is investigating Russian election meddling and possible collusion with the Trump campaign.

"I had the greatest electoral victory in the history of our country, one of them", he said.

Asked if the public should be allowed to see the report, Trump said: "I don't mind". I don't-I don't think people get it. "That's up to the Attorney General ... and we'll see what happens".

Trump's call for the report to be released is supported by the House, which unanimously passed a resolution last week for Mueller's report to be made public, though Barr is not obligated to comply to the House's demands. It was a symbolic action created to pressure Barr into releasing as much information as possible.

The president's comments amounted to his clearest statement yet in favor of the report's release and come after he said in a tweet last week that there should not even be a Mueller report.

"I know that he's conflicted, and I know that his best friend is [fired-FBI chief James] Comey who is a bad cop, and I know that there are other things, obviously".

"I think it's ridiculous", Trump said, "but I want to see the report". "There was no nothing".
