Microsoft May Have Surface Buds In The Pipeline

Microsoft Surface Buds could see Cortana challenge AirPods

Expanding to earbuds could present an even bigger challenge if Microsoft wants to take on Apple's trendsetting AirPods. Sams writes the earbuds are codenamed "Morrison" - likely after Jim Morrison of the Doors - citing "multiple sources who are familiar with the company's plans". The tech giant has already accomplished the former with the launch of its Surface Headphones, and project Morrison will undoubtedly fit the latter category.

Apple went to great lengths to make its AirPods wireless Bluetooth earbuds stand out, building their own wireless chips allowing seamless syncing with Apple products.

In addition to the Surface Headphones, which were officially launched previous year, the software giant is now working on its very own earbuds that would technically be positioned as an alternative to Apple's AirPods and other similar devices already on the market. However, most people prefer the convenience of earbuds or in-ear headphones, so it really makes sense for Microsoft's Surface team to explore these other form factors.

Pelosi asks police to protect Ilhan Omar after Trump attack
The White House has defended its right to criticize Omar for what it calls past "anti-Semitic, anti-Israel" statements by her. Congresswoman Omar has become a lightning rod for criticism following her 2018 election. "We are all Americans".

It wouldn't be Microsoft's first foray into high-end headphones, either. Of course, you could also use the Surface Headphones to converse with Microsoft's Cortana digital assistant via its mobile app.

Microsoft's Surface Headphones are over-ear headphones, which means that they fully encompass the ears for better comfort and isolation.

The company's reinvention under Satya Nadella has brought us many things, some good, some bad, but one of the words that keep coming back is "cuckold". Sams says Microsoft's Surface Buds could launch in 2019, but cautions that it's "not guaranteed".
