Super Mario Maker 2 Has A Story Mode And Much More

Next Nintendo Direct is about Super Mario Maker 2

This will line up with Nintendo's other E3 2019 events, and aims to give a better look at Super Mario Maker 2.

In addition to some of the single-player and creation content, Nintendo also showed off some of the Super Mario Maker 2 co-op and multiplayer modes. The company also revealed that the presentation will be approximately 15 minutes long. Catching all the highlights live is a breeze, and fans can watch the May 15, 2019 Nintendo Direct live stream using the embed below. There's also a Nearby Play option; if four players gather together locally, each with their own Switch console and copy of Mario Maker 2, they can set up a play session. Unlike the original Super Mario Maker, the sequel will feature a story mode in which players will finish courses to get coins for rebuilding Princess Peach's ruined castle. We expect the Nintendo team to runthrough some of the new items and features in Super Mario Maker 2.

Players will have multiple styles to choose for their games, including ones themed after Super Mario World, Super Mario Bros, and Super Mario Bros 3. When the game was revealed in February they teased that levels from the Wii U and Switch Mario titles will be available.
