Donald Trump ridiculed after calling Prince Charles 'The Prince of Whales'

President Trump regularly tweets about the "fake news media", but it seems he's shared a bit of fake news himself with a recent royal blunder.

Trump's tweets were an apparent response to criticism of comments he made on Sunday that he would accept information from a foreign government that was damaging to an election opponent, without reporting it to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

President Donald Trump, who is prone to typos and misspellings on his social media account, botched the spelling of Prince Charles' official title Thursday, referring to him as the "Prince of Whales", and invoking not royalty but something more akin to Moby Dick or Shamu.

Trump, now ranked by the website friendorfollow.com as having the 12th most popular Twitter account in the world with some 61 million followers, quickly corrected the original tweet.

"I meet and talk to "foreign governments" every day", Trump wrote on Twitter. Should I immediately.call the Federal Bureau of Investigation about these calls and meetings?

Trump reverses course, says 'of course' he would report foreign interference
A top Republican ally said Trump was wrong to say he would accept dirt on political rivals from foreign sources. He added that he'd have no obligation to call the Federal Bureau of Investigation .

However, that didn't stop Victoria-based Prince of Whales Whale and Marine Life Adventures from getting on Twitter and having a bit of fun with the gaffe.

Elizabeth II, who hosted Trump at a state dinner in London, is actually queen of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, of which England is only one part.

"Hmm @POTUS mentions speaking with us but we never got the call!"
