Some shoppers queued before the shops even opened and some for over six hours - meaning Build-A-Bear were forced to end the promotion early. To be eligible for a ticket, guests will have toenter online and join Build-A-Bear's Bonus Club.

The sale allows customers to buy a stuffed animal for the same price as their age. But the company is limiting how many tickets and timing.

For anyone who would like to take part in paying for a brand new Build-A-Bear based on their child's age, he or she will need to enter the Count Your Candles Sweepstakes to be one of the lucky ticket holders to attend the event.

Guests will be able to make one furry friend per child present, with a limit of two furry friends per ticket.

It appeared that the nationwide promotion backfired previous year as huge crowds gathered at different locations in order to create a customized stuff animal.
