Masai Ujiri Witness Tells AP Police Are Not Telling Truth

Raptors president Majai Ujiri celebrates after his team's NBA championship-clinching win over the Warriors on Thursday night

The Toronto Raptors won their first NBA Championship on Thursday night, defeating the Golden State Warriors at Oracle Arena, 114-110. The Alameda County District Attorney's Office said it expected to look into the matter sometime next week. But while the account that tweeted the video claimed the officer was the aggressor, in what bore all the hallmarks of a classic case of racial profiling, police, in turn, have accused Ujiri of assaulting the cop.

USA law enforcement officials allege Raptors president Masai Ujiri assaulted a police officer at Oracle Arena in Oakland, Calif., moments after the Toronto team won its first National Basketball Association championship, but an eye witness disputed the authorities' account of what happened.

Kelly says the deputy pushed back and the executive pushed again and "struck our deputy in the face".

Video of the aftermath of that incident was captured by NBC Bay Area, who originally reported the complaint against Ujiri.

In 2013, the Raptors pried Ujiri away from Colorado on a five-year, $15 million deal. @ACSOSheriffs say he hit a deputy in the face.

Audi e-tron recalled for poor battery seal
It is unclear if the campaign will delay further deliveries, as the fix is not expected to become available until August. However, not many customers will be affected by it as only 540 of the 1,644 units sold have been delivered to customers.

Criminalizing a Black man seems to be Police 101, and cops seemed to follow the script to a tee following the report that Ujiri was the victim. "Our deputy contacted Mr. Masai Ujiri as he attempted to walk onto the court. No doubt they laid hands first, and I bet it was because they could never fathom a black man was the president of a team", wrote one responder.

Some came to the officer's defense.

"It's not like we were going to chase him down". But most weren't so willing to give a white officer the benefit of the doubt.

Ujiri has always been an executive held in high esteem, prior to orchestrating the most successful Raptors team in franchise history, he helped lay the foundation for a formidable Denver Nuggets team.
