Jaden Smith opens vegan pop-up food truck for the homeless

Jaden Smith

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the most loving and caring boy I know.

On Monday, the musician hosted the pop-up I Love You Restaurant, a food truck on Skid Row that provided free vegan meals to the homeless for the day. Smith's new pop-initiative, called "I Love You Restaurant", is the "first of many", he says.

In one of his uploads, many people are seen graciously accepting bags of food from the truck. According to the Los Angeles Almanac, 38% of the homeless population in Los Angeles was Black in 2019 - the highest percentage of homeless people of any race/ethnic group in the county.

Smith shared the generous project on Instagram writing, 'The @ILoveYouRestaurant Is A Movement That Is All About Giving People What They Deserve, Healthy, Vegan Food For Free'. "Today we launched our first one-day food truck pop-up in Downtown L.A".

Floyd Mayweather Dropped By Ankle-Breaking Crossover In Basketball Game
While playing in the 2nd Annual Monster Energy $50K Charity Challenge Celebrity Game, Floyd faced a super-difficult task. And you know someone with the pride and ego of Mayweather is going to be haunted by that vicious move for quite a while.

Numerous celebrities commented on his post, commending him on the idea. "WOW. ICON ENERGY", SZA added, while #NickCannon left praying hands and power-fist emojis.

Other A-Listers like YG, Kid Ink, Nick Cannon, Sofia Richie and Juicy J all showed their support as well. Just last week, Smith took part in Shia LaBeouf's charity fundraiser for his theatre school Slauson Rec., a free-of-charge performing arts programme for anyone who wants to attend, irrespective of their background or training. Earlier this year, the rapper announced that he will help Flint's water crisis by using some of the profits generated by his JUST Water company to install filtration systems around the city in order to purify the contanimated water.

Way to go, Jaden!
