Mortal Kombat film will have fatalities on the big screen

Hence Warner Bros. thought of it as a good opportunity to reboot the legendary Mortal Kombat series.

That apparently won't be the case for the reboot, at least according to screenwriter Greg Russo.

Since it's already been stated by other members of the team, I'm gonna put this one to bed.

The writer of the MK reboot shared on Twitter that not only is the movie rated-r, but it will also feature fatalities.

It's been a week filled with great news for the upcoming Mortal Kombat film! For anyone unfamiliar, Taslim is most famous for his work in the Indonesian martial arts-action film, "The Raid: Redemption", and his appearance in "Fast & Furious 6".

Russo didn't mention which fatalities will go to the big scream. but we can expect a couple of the lovely classic violent moves that fans have always crave to see in the films. When news of a new Mortal Kombat film was going around, the creators wanted it to be a little more faithful to the source material.

When the original movie arrived in theaters back in 1995, it was fairly well received.

The Mortal Kombat movie is being produced by James Wan (Aquaman and Fast 7) and is due to begin shooting later this year. Joe is most known for its wonderful fighting skills in movies like The Raid: Redemption and Netflix hit The night come for us (totally recommended the two if you like gore fighting scenes).
