The site claims the disruption was due to an "internal configuration change".

The monitoring website DownDetector showed a series of outage reports starting at 1846 GMT, concentrated in Europe, North America and Japan.

At the time of publishing this article; Twitter was down.

Once Twitter service was restored, the downtime was an immediate subject of tweets.

Stranger Things Season 3 Breaks Netflix Records
While the streaming platform has yet to officially announce the next season, it's only a matter of time before they do. This plot point is key and it would make a lot of sense to bring the other children with powers back into the show.

At the moment all Twitter APIs are impacted by the ongoing outage, after Twitter initially reported that only Volume Streams & PowerTrack were affected by degraded performance issues.

Twitter has not posted updates on their Facebook or Instagram accounts at this point.

Reddit themselves have yet to address the issues with the site, with the company remaining silent on social media as to when they can expect the problems to end.

According to Newsweek, Twitter let out a statement acknowledging the outage.

If were unable to log into Twitter, you were not alone.

"We were down. and now slowly coming back up".
