Bloomberg contacted Chainalysis , which discovered that "50 transactions involving a total of 50,500 Bitcoins originating from that whale's wallet were moved between August 23 and 30". However, Chainalysis' data reveals that BTC whales are "a diverse group, and only about a third of them are active traders". The lost whales are the third group and are five in number. (more...)

Increased borrowing demand by Uncle Sam would lead to rising rates, all things being equal. I suspect that long-term rates will keep rising, at least for a while. Reuters however reports that markets were supported as Hurricane Michael closed almost 40 percent of U.S. Saudi Arabia, the world's biggest oil exporter, will supply Indian buyers with an additional 4 million barrels of crude oil in November, several sources familiar with the matter said.
