Other states included in this outbreak include Illinois, Indiana, Missouri and Ohio. Suicide, Alzheimer's disease and drug overdoses are three leading causes of deaths with growing prevalence. Experts note that mental illness may have been underreported in the study , either because the person who killed themself had not yet been diagnosed or because those left behind were not aware their loved one's condition.
