Officers are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the man in his vehicle or walking with his dogs between 9am and 11am. He said the initial call was made to Norfolk Police at 10.45am. Police have urged the public to be careful when venturing out but insisted they were not instructing people not to go out. The crash happened around 1 p.m.in a westbound lane of the highway about a mile east of Interstate 430. In the USA state of Arkansas in a traffic accident on the highway was scattered with boxes of frozen pizzas. Straessle added that the pizza sauce, the cheese and pepperoni, plus some spilled diesel left a "slippery spot". The Arkansas Department of Transportation says there was only cosmetic damage to the overpass, and it is still okay for travel. (more...)

The Virginia Department of Health released a report that showed opioid overdoses remain the primary cause of unnatural death in the Commonwealth - hundreds more than both gun and automobile-related deaths. But Ruhm concluded the Keystone State actually has the seventh highest rate of opioid deaths that year with 17.8 per 100,000. Those deaths are then kept out of the total rate of USA opioid-related fatalities, which means we don't have an actual number of opioid-related deaths. (more...)
