Vitamin D supplements have always been recommended for older people to treat or prevent osteoporosis, a bone-loss condition, with some early evidence suggesting benefits for bone health. Research on touch is limited due to previous studies focusing largely on roles of touch in romantic relationships . Lead author Dr Sarah Hartz said it may be helpful to advise people at risk of heart disease to drink occasionally but encourage those susceptible to cancer to avoid it altogether. He pointed out that "one of the study's conclusions was that, as medicine becomes more personalised, some patients with a history of cardiovascular disease may benefit from drinking two or three days a week, but those with a higher risk of cancer may not benefit". The CDC says Naegleria fowleri is often found in warm freshwater. It's unclear if the park remained closed Sunday morning. The infection is extremely rare, but very deadly. The initial symptoms may include headache, fever, nausea, or vomiting. Per WFAA , the BSR Surf Resort in Waco chose to close down its wave pool while the CDC tests the water for the microbe, whose scientific name is Naegleria fowleri . (more...)
