As CNBC noted , the Electron rocket is created to carry spacecraft up to the size of a refrigerator on a faster timetable than larger competitors like SpaceX's Falcon 9 rockets, though it actually costs more than the latter. Asteroid 2018 VS1 will pass at around 02:03pm UTC (07:03pm Pakistan Time) at about 1.38 million km away from Earth - nearly four times as far away from the planet as the moon is. This involves the asteroid 2018 VR1 , which is a little wider at 30 metres in diameter. He will approach the Earth at 379 thousand kilometers. Two days later, the Minor Planet Center announced the discovery, estimaging the asteroid's diameter to be between 26 and 59 feet (8 and 18 m). (more...)
