According to a new study, Texas ranks as the 28th happiest state in the U.S. 43 on a list of the "Happiest States in America", from the list-lovers at WalletHub, a personal finance website. IL came in at No. 20 on the list, even finishing in the top 10 (No. 7) when it comes to emotional and physical health. Kentucky's neighboring states are little 'happier.' Tennessee ranks 42nd and IN comes IN at number 34. (more...)

It is reported that a call made to the hotel at 4.30pm on Sunday 10 September prompted the decision to evacuate the hotel, which was made as a precaution before a search of the building was conducted by Sussex Police. 'Nothing untoward has been found at this time. Roads around the hotel were closed while specially trained teams and bomb disposal experts conducted an intensive search lasting almost five hours. Florida's largest utility reported that the storm had knocked out power to almost three-quarters of its customers. As it moves north, Irma will weaken to a Tropical Storm before it gets to the Florida-Georgia line. At least four people were killed by the storm in Florida, and 3.3 million people are now without power . Some 6.5 million people, about one-third of Florida's population, had been ordered to evacuate their homes ahead of Irma's arrival. (more...)
