The division bench of Chief Justice Navniti Prasad Singh ruled that the court can not conduct a judicial review on the life ban imposed by the BCCI and hence upheld the appeal. A disappointed Sreesanth took to his Twitter account to say he will "keep fighting" to get the ban lifted. The court had earlier sought the BCCI's stand on the plea by the cricketer challenging the life ban imposed upon him by the game's governing body following the 2013 Indian Premier League-6 spot-fixing scandal. Another tweet states that the Indian Embassy in Japan informed Swaraj that a helicopter and two patrol vessels of the Japan Coast Guard are also engaged in the search and rescue operations. The aircraft is equipped with two SAR kits which contain an inflatable dinghy capable of carrying 10 persons. On October 13, Japanese officials had said that a distress signal was received from the vessel when it was about 150 nautical miles east of the northern tip of the Philippines. (more...)

McMillon is charged with Aggravated Assault and Battery, according to Officer Drew Fennelly. 22-year-old Leah Elizabeth Brown of Shawnee; 20-year-old Colwin Lynn Henderson of Topeka; and 24-year-old Tremel Dupree Dean, also of Topeka, died in the shooting. Global tourist arrivals in Thailand rose 5.75 percent in September from a year earlier, led by visitors from East Asia, the government said on Tuesday. The ministry expects 9.5-10 million Chinese tourists this year, up from 8.9 million last year, Pongpanu said.
