According to a statement from the mayor of Newark, New Jersey, the US Capitol Police notified law enforcement in that city about the threat. Now officers are working with the Newark police to provide security at the Booker home. In recent days, Booker has blasted the Federal Communications Commission decision to repeal net neutrality, slammed what he called Trump's "all-out assault on the LGBTQ community", and called for the president to resign over accusations of sexual harassment.
