The discussions were expected to also focus on worldwide hotspots such as Iran, North Korea and terrorism. Rajesh Maru , 32, was yanked towards the machine by its magnetic force after he entered the room carrying an oxygen cylinder, the city's police said in a statement. The accident reportedly happened as Maru was helping hospital staff move his relative from one stretcher to another, which highlights another aspect of the story: the regularity with which understaffed hospitals in India ask relatives for such assistance. The bomb was discovered at a construction site for the Sha Tin to Central rail link at the junction of Harbour Road and Tonnochy Road in Wanchai. It took the bomb disposal engineers more than a day to disarm the explosive device, as one of its detonators was damaged and thus any movement of the bomb was extremely risky. (more...)

The Naga parties "appreciate all political parties, both national and regional, for responding positively to their plan of Solution before Election ", it added. The NSCN (IM), who has been fighting for a Nagalim or "Greater Nagaland" signed ceasefire agreement with the Government of India in 1997 and held several rounds of talks with the Central Government in India and overseas as part of talks. A CCTV footage of an ATM booth showed the culprits installing an ATM skimming device. ATM skimming is like identity theft for debit cards: Thieves use hidden electronics to steal the personal information stored on the card and record the PIN number to access all the cash in an individual's account. Emergency crews responded to the scene and rescued the unconscious man from under two to three feet of sand. Deputies said they learned a child, at one point, was in the tunnel but then exited it. Goggin at some point had turned around in the tunnel and started to dig backward when the entire dune collapsed, burying Goggin. (more...)

Police say one pedestrian was injured and transported to the hospital with unspecified injuries. The victim was listed in critical condition.
