It came as three mountain climbers were killed while climbing a glacier in the Italian Alps. Apparently, one member of the group slipped and fell on a glacier, bringing the others down with him. The cause of the fall was not immediately known. Rescue workers have confirmed that out of the group of six, five have been killed. It also wasn't clear how exactly the five persons died. (more...)

Shells hit islands standing in for South Korea's Baengnyeong and Yeonpyeong islands while special forces landed in rubber boats or parachuted in and "wiped out the desperate enemy with various combat methods", the Korean Central News Agency said.
